Training for Publicity Backbones of AIDS Prevention

Held in Guizhou Church

In order to control the spread of AIDS and strengthen the social responsibility of pastoral staffs from root-churches of Guizhou province, a training course for publicity backbones of AIDS prevention, sponsored by CCC/TSPM and Tongxing Foundation, began the first class in the pastoral staffs’ training center of Liupanshui on the afternoon of August 20th. It was the first time for Liupanshui Church to hold training associated with social service. And the training lasted three days. Eighty-two pastoral staffs and sisters and brothers all over the city attended the training.

 

 

The keynote speaker of the training was Ran Jinglin, an chief of Liupanshui CDC. After the training, pastoral staffs from root-churches of Liupanshui learned how to publicize the harm and seriousness of AIDS to share social responsibility and keep more people away from AIDS to make the society more peaceful and harmonious.

 

 

The former general-director of Protestant Church of the Netherlands Pastor Bath Pulasia and his wife and Liu Yiye, the co-worker of social service department of CCC/TSPM came to the training class to visit the current AIDS training accompanied by Yang Chaoyun, the president of Guizhou provincial CC/TSPM. Pastor Bath Pulasia made a brief exhortation and encouraged all the trainees to play the role of light and salt to make every effort to keep more people away from AIDS. Li Jiexian, an chief of Ethnic and Religion Bureau of Liupanshui spoke highly of the training held by Liupanshui Church and encouraged church to delivery more social service to benefit the society.
